BE EARLY!! 

Nothing makes a casting director more upset than when he calls a name and no one answers. Being early means you will have time to look over the copy and be relaxed when it’s your time to audition.

Vintage Commercials. Ugh. She should have poured the coffee on his head. Don’t think you’d see something this sexist today. At least, I hope not.

It’s not cool for celebs to do commercials in the US so they make sure the ones they do air exclusively in Japan.

The best way to prepare for a commercial audition is to study commercial. The fabulously talented author Taylor Morris came over for dinner tonight and we had Shake and Bake so in honor of her visit a real classic.

The top in the picture is super cute but you should NEVER ever wear it to an on-camera audition. The small plaid will make video cameras buzz and it will look like you are covered in ants. Stick to monochromatic bold flattering colors. Trust me.

A new show about local commercial spots begins this Friday June 24 on IFC. The girls in COMMERCIAL BREAKS would not be caught dead going on a go-see for one of these spots but Rhett & Link have create some hysterical spots. See the video.
